Honea Competes at Regionals

Madisen Jean Honea and an amazing season for the Runnin Dawgs cross country team. She competed in Arligntion this morning and had a great run. She finished 29 out of 179 runners with a time of 18:54. Congratulations to MJ for finishing as the district champion and regional finalist.

XC Competes at District Meet

The Runnin Dawgs traveled to Waco today to compete in the District cross country meet. MJ Honea came away with the varsity girls DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP! She placed 1st among all her district opponents and will head to Regionals in Arlington in 10 days. Adora Lumpkin also placed in the race, bringing home hardware as well.

Runnin’ Dawgs take on Lampasas

The cross country teams battled the Lampasas course in the heat and demonstarted true heart! MJ Honea took home the 6th place metal in the girls varsity race, dominating the competetion, and Brandon Sargent bring home hardware in the boy JV division. XC runs at McNeil Invitational

The varsity cross country teams ran at the McNeil Invitatioanl meet among 7,000 other runners. The Runnin Dawgs represented Copperas Cove well on the 5K races for 6A teams. The next meet is next Friday in Lampasas. GO DAWGS!

The Cross Country team competed in the Waco Invitational Friday morning and multiple members of the running dawgs posted personal records for themselves. The Runnin’ Dawgs set some personal bests at the Profit race in Temple last Friday. The boys and girls teams both placed in the top five and showed out against district opponents.
